Oriental Blossoms!

It was a long weekend in Singapore due to Chinese New Year and I spent the majority of it plopped in front of laptop trolling a lot of retail shops online creating my wish list, sleeping on the couch, and in the middle of all this action I found just enough time to savor some grapes, crackers and cheese with a hint of moscato. On one of my not so lazy days my husband and I got off our butts to meet up with friends for dinner, in one of our favorite districts in Singapore (Arab Street). In Singapore Chinese New Year is a major holiday and it turns a usually bustling city into a ghost town, which is a double edged sword because all the restaurants are empty but is bad because most of our favorite little eateries are closed. At the end of the night we ended up searching high and low for a good cafe to fulfill our sweet tooth's, it was a bit of a struggle to find dessert, but with a bit of foot power and a lot of patience we finally settled for a bit of baklava and Ice cream.

Sex and the City

Don't we ladies love some tutu? I've been looking for a perfect tutu for a very long time until I passed by a shop at Haji Lane in Arab Street that sold tutus in champagne/ grayish silver and in this blush tone. I had to pass it up at first as the price was too steep, then one fine day I just couldn't take it anymore. I bit the bullet and asked my man to buy it for me. Things we women have to do just to get his credit card has no bounds I must say ;)

This is my second time wearing it and I do have many of my girlfriends asking me how do you pull this skirt off. My answer is very simple as seen here in a cropped stripped ASOS blouse.

When it comes to styling all I have to say is 'ladies don't think too much, just have some fun'.

Too late for Christmas!

I wore this tailor made pencil skirt which had a mixture of greens with a hint of gold which was my Christmas theme. This Christmas my husband and I had a small shindig at our place with our close friends where I cooked and cooked and cooked, I almost didn't get enough time to slip into this little ensemble.

I purchased this green batik printed material at one of the shops in Arab street (which by the way if you are in Singapore you have to visit). I was hoping to have this tailor made sometime mid 2013 since Emerald Green was the color of the year. I know it's not exactly Emerald Green but it is a fun mix of many greens (don't you think?).

Weekender!

Last minute run to the tailors before two weddings this season is nerve recking, especially when you are getting your clothes stitched with them for the very first time. I will post the newly tailored outfits here (if it ever turns out good, wish me luck).

On a day such as this, I picked up some comfortable wear to head to the tailors and jazzed up a Saturday morning in my festive blings.

Traffic Lights!

After a long hiatus I am back again! I have been under the weather the last couple of days and now slowly I'm trying to get better and be in the holiday spirit. The weather out here is crazy, we have the sun during the day and as I get ready to go out and do a shoot for you guys, it gets gloomy and rains all of a sudden, and then I think of my favourite nursery song "out comes the sun and dry's up all the rain, the itsy bitsy blogger gets to shoot again," (hehe my own little variation of that little jingle). Some days you love this weather and just want to sit in your PJ's with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book, but some days it gets realllly irritating because I can't do my favourite thing, Dress up !!!!!.

This is just one of those days for me.
