May Day!

It's so good to have a public holiday mid week and just laze around the city. My husband & I have taken a day off tomorrow so that we get to have a long weekend. We were planning on heading out of town this long weekend, but last minute we chose not to. On another note, I am finally free from the cast. Horray to that!!!!

I am going to have to avoid heels for few months and I'm now in the midst of hunting for some fresh pair of flats, do follow my instagram account to keep a close watch on what I buy next :)

Extraordinary

I am back after a long break. You must have been wondering what happened to me? Well, you guys did see my last post where I had this boot on my leg. I have a fracture and I have been in this boot for close to a month, and I still have to wear it for another two weeks, hopefully the next doctor's visit on April 28th will bring some good news.

So how did I manage to fracture my foot you may be asking? Well I tripled over some boxes at my work place, and what happened to look like a simple fall turned out to be the worst nightmare of my life. For a person like me who has been wearing heels almost everyday, it is a NIGHTMARE. Well, on the bright side of things I am thankful for what I have. It's just a matter of time, patience and much needed care that I need at the moment.

The cast may be not in this picture but, I did wear it after my shoot. So, how was your long weekend? I had an incredible week, I did what I wanted to do which was going to church on both Good Friday and Easter Sunday, meeting up with my beautiful friends for a movie, dinner and even ended up going to see Annie Leibovitz amazing photographs, a true inspiration.

Friends with Style!

Happy Women's Day!!!

When two friends with style meet up on weekdays after work or weekends, all they have to talk about is their dream closet and their world around fashion/ street styles/ Fashion Blogs/ ZARA etc.

So on International Women's Day my girl friend Anna & I decided to do a shoot together for Rach-in-Fashion. She is one of the stylish girl friends in my circle. On this women's day I decided to share the spotlight with Anna to introduce a fresh sense of style, who knows there may be more and more collaborations.

Minimal Chic!

My husband and I did a post Valentines Day dinner at a French Restaurant in one of the many secret little hideouts in Singapore. We love discovering and trying out new places to eat in Singapore whether we are going out with our friends or just us having a romantic night out on the town.

We didn't do much on V-Day we wanted to avoid the crowd as much as possible. We ended up spending a cozy night at home with the hubby cooking a delicious Caribbean meal for us (when I say us it included our little puggy who just loves his daddy's cooking).

I mist say I am truly blessed to have this man as my valentine and I would do what ever to keep him happy.

we didn't exchange any gifts on V-Day and kept it aside for a later date, but I did get a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a big teddy bear delivered to my work place. (you would have seen this on my Instagram)

Now to the outfit, I had to make this night special and hunt through my wardrobe for fresh options. I don't buy clothes for specific occassions mind you. I had this cut-out dress from ModCloth for quite some time and wanted to wear it in a different way, something that I haven't tried before. After running through my inspiration board for some options, I picked up my favourite ZARA skinnys and kept the look minimal chic.
